Our Compression Testing Machines range in capacity from 20,000 to 1,000,000 lbs. (88 to 4,448 kN) and are manufactured to the highest quality standards. All machine models exceed ASTM and AASHTO standards for accuracy and manufacturing requirements.
They are used world-wide by commercial testing laboratories, material producers, research laboratories and federal, state and local departments of transportation. Our machines measure the strength of concrete and cement samples and manufactured masonry products for their compressive and flexural strength, and static modulus of elasticity.
Machines are available with three different digital load indicating systems. This makes it easier to select the machine and digital system that meets both your budget and test documentation requirements.
All testing machines are supplied with 6.5” (165.1 mm) diameter spherically seated cylinder platens and front and rear safety guard doors. Optional test platen sets and spacers are available for testing a variety of sample types. Please see machine accessories section to view them.

Low Capacity Series Compression Testing Machines
Accuracy of ± .5% of indicated load exceeding ASTM E-4 requirements
Compact space saving design requires minimal floor space
Test concrete beams with greater control of load pacing rates
These Low Capacity Series machines were designed for testing concrete beams where a greater control of load pacing rates is required. Their low end accuracy also makes them ideal for testing 2” (50 mm) mortar cubes and a variety of low strength specimens.
Designed as a true compression testing machine, they feature a rigid one piece load frame that maintains its stability under load. They are available in two model styles; as a self-contained machine or configured as an add on auxiliary load frame mated to a companion compression testing machine.
Options include four different digital load indicating systems and platen test sets for beams, 2” (50 mm) cubes and cores.

CM-2500 Series
The CM-2500 Series with its 250,000 lbs. (1,112 kN) capacity has been considered for years to be the basic compression machine of the concrete testing industry. It is well suited for testing concrete cylinders up to 7,000 psi (48.2 Mpa) in strength.
Its basic appearance has stayed the same, but over the years numerous engineering improvements have enhanced its overall operating performance and accuracy.
Available with basic or advanced digital load indicating systems or hydraulic bourdon tube gauges. Optional accessories are available for testing beams, cubes, cores, brick and block.

CM-3000 Series
The CM-3000 Series Compression Machine with its increased testing capacity and rigid load frame design is quickly becoming the new standard of choice of the concrete testing industry.
Designed for testing concrete strengths up to 9,000 psi (62 Mpa), it will also test a wide range of low strength specimens such as beams and 2” (50 mm) cubes.
Its compact single unit design requires only 3.7 sq. ft. (.34 sq. m) of floor space making it ideal for either laboratory or field trailer installation.
A wide range of digital load indicating systems allows you to choose from a basic to an advanced system with computer download for test data documentation.

CM-4000 Series
Rigid load frame design exceeds ACI 363 specifications
Testing range of 4,000 to 400,000 lbs. (17.8 to 1,780 kN) with an accuracy of ± .5% of indicated load
The CM-4000 series machines are designed to meet the demands of production testing laboratories where accuracy, testing versatility, ease of operation and day to day performance is required.
To meet your testing requirements, three load frame configurations are available to choose from; the standard CM-4000 model meeting ASTM C-39 specifications, the CM-400B model meeting ASTM C-140 specifications for testing a single concrete block in compression and the CM-400P model meeting ASTM C-1314 specifications for testing two full size concrete block in prism.
All three frame models will test a full range of specimen types with optional platens and spacers.
A wide range of digital load indicating systems allows you to choose from a basic to an advanced system with computer download for test data documentation.

High Capacity Series Compression Testing Machines
Available in four capacities of: CM-5000 Series – 500,000 lbs. (2,224 kN) CM-6000 Series – 600,000 lbs. (2,669 kN) CM-8000 Series – 800,000 lbs. (3,559 kN) CM-1000 Series – 1,000,000 lbs. (4,448 kN)
Testing range from 1% of capacity to full capacity with an accuracy of ± .5% of indicated load
All load frames exceed ACI 363 frame rigidity requirements.
High Capacity Series compression testing machines are designed to meet the demands of testing high strength specimens in a production testing program where accurate and repeatable test results are required. They exceed both ACI and ASTM requirements for frame rigidity and accuracy, making them ideal for commercial testing laboratories that commonly test a wide variety of specimen types.
For each machine model in the High Capacity Series, three different load frame configurations are available; the standard model meeting ASTM C-39 specifications, B-models meeting ASTM C-140 specifications for testing a single concrete block, and P-models meeting ASTM C-1314 specifications for testing block in prism. All three load frame models will test a full range of different specimen types.

Digital Load Indicating Systems
Three digital load indicator model groups, select the indicator that meets your requirements.
Indicators are operator friendly featuring hands free automatic tare and simple menu driven push button prompts for all settings.
All indicators exceed ASTM C-39 and E-4 requirements with a testing range and accuracy of ± .5% of indicated load from 1% to 100% of machine capacity.
At Test Mark, we make it easy for you to select a testing machine with the digital load indicating system that meets your requirements. With three digital load indicator model groups, choose from a basic indicator to a sophisticated system with automated data acquisition of specimen test results directly to a PC or compatible printer.
The basic indicator models are the DI/DIR digitals. They are easy to operate and have an accuracy that exceeds ASTM requirements, but do not feature hard copy test documentation functions.
The iD indicator was designed for full service laboratories and features ease of operation with minimal operator input. It displays load, rate of load, peak load and stress test results. Test data can be downloaded to a PC or printer for hard copy test documentation.
The LXI indicator offers the highest level of sophistication. A few of its features are displayed test results, X-Y plotting of individual tests in a load or stress vs. time graph and automated data acquisition of specimen test results directly to a PC or compatible printer.
