These new retainer caps are 35% lighter than steel caps, reducing the combined testing weight of the caps, pads, and cylinders by 6.5 lbs. per test. So if you test 60 cylinders a day, that’s 390 lbs. you did not have to lift up into a test machine.
Made from an aircraft grade aluminum alloy heat treated and hard anodized for greater durability and wear and will last for years with proper care. Retainers meet ASTM C-1231 and AASHTO T-22 specifications and do not require acceptance testing.
