Vacuum Pycnometer, 2000g

The vacuum pycnometer is used in Rice testing for determining the maximum specific gravity of bituminous paving mixtures with a maximum aggregate size up to ¾" and a 2,000g capacity.

The clear acrylic lid with O-ring allows the operator to view the sample during testing.
A second volumetric lid, tapered with a capillary bore and vacuum hose, is included. It is made from cast aluminum. The unit achieves vacuum using an aspirator or optional vacuum pump.
